W.E.S. Expedition: NM

What was My Conclusion?

Homestead

The state is nothing like I thought it was, the landscape is beautiful, there's mountains, greenery, and plains. The jump sheet said July was a hot and rainy month and it was half right. The rain during our stay was lite, but there was clouds with lightning and thunder during a few days. The rain wasn't bad and cooled down the heat before it got too crazy.

The state would be an ideal place for a homestead. We concluded that the surrounding areas around Las Cruces or areas between Sante Fe and Taos would be ideal; Las Cruces in the south is a beautiful and empty region, also affordable according to varies websites. The areas between Sante Fe and Taos, are plains and mountain views. Most of the state seems to close down after 5pm, that was an issue.

That being said, starting a social club would be a hit if allowed. Homeless population seems small, and clinics are plenty. Also seems like an ideal place for outreach, due to space and opportunities. Other possible issues would involve the state's infrastructure: the highway/ freeways are not built for a growing population, didn't see as much solar farms as expected considering the space and no wind turbines so I'm unsure where the increasing energy is coming from, and the lack of public transportation and the need of a personal vehicle.

All the main commercial stores are in every city, so with planning and organization, living will go unchanged. Outside of the major cities (Sante Fe, Albuquerque, & Las Cruces) can be up to a 3.5-hour drive. The state is liberal on cannabis use. Living off the grid would be possible in the state, and locals seemed welcoming and pleasant.

Casual Work

Another purpose of the trip was to pilot W.E.S. Bazaar Services customized employment: Work done for a private or individual customer (especially as opposed to factory or wholesale work); work done to order. Customized employment is a way to provide participants with the opportunity to be self-sufficient and self-reliant while making an income / funds all while still promoting moral capitalism and getting money in the hands of people. By providing individuals access to a selection of tasks/contracted work participants are equipped with freedom of wage control, with a majority focused on tasks instead of time requirement (8 hours shifts). In this case, the directive was given to collect content on the state of New Mexico and present a report to West Elephant Solutions to present to members and others. First test can be considered thus far a working success.

Expedition Expansion

The other purpose was to determine the possibility of expanding the trip to others. I think that is not only possible but potentially extremely successful. Should be invite-only / member only. With the cost of the trip being less than $3,000 for TWO people for SEVEN days, totaling $1,500 7-day opportunity for an individual to explore an entire state. I believe that's a reasonable and affordable price. Total cost $2,709 (rounded up): the train ($833), hotel ($575), Airbnb ($598), Rental ($455), and gas ($248). Since cost is so high, should only be accessible to Onyx Shield members.
